Eric Cornidez, MD, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology, Fellowship Trained Interventional Pain Specialist and Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine in the greater Tucson community. Dr. Cornidez is currently a managing partner at the Pain Institute of Southern Arizona, conveniently located throughout Tucson, Oro Valley, and Green Valley, Safford, Benson, and Wilcox, Arizona. Dr. Cornidez has been helping his patients alleviate acute and chronic pain for more than 13 years.

An accomplished scholar, Dr. Cornidez received his medical degree from Stanford University in 2006. After completing his surgical internship at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Dr. Cornidez entered into a three-year anesthesiology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dedicated to finding the best pain management practices available, Dr. Cornidez later completed an additional interventional pain fellowship at the Mayo Clinic immediately after finishing his residency. Dr. Cornidez most recently earned his Master of Business Administration degree from University of Arizona.

Dr. Cornidez is committed to providing the best pain management care possible. As an interventional pain specialist, he has lectured on many topics related to chronic pain and pain treatment options, including spinal cord stimulation (SCS), complex regional pain syndrome, sympathetic blocks, postherpetic neuralgias, and neuropathy. He is especially interested in pain treatments such as neuromodulation and rhizotomies.

In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Cornidez serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He is also actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Arizona Society of Anesthesiologists, the Arizona Medical Association, and the American Pain Society.
