Jose Chavez, DO, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. Dr. Chavez currently serves the greater Tucson community at the Pain Institute of Southern Arizona, located throughout Tucson, Oro Valley, Green Valley, Safford, Benson and Wilcox, Arizona.

After earning his doctor of osteopathy degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, Dr. Chavez completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency, as well as an accredited pain medicine fellowship, at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

Dr. Chavez harnesses his skills as an osteopathic doctor in every aspect of his care and treatment of patients. With a strong background in physical medicine and rehabilitation, his primary goal is to restore function to his patients by employing treatment therapies such as pharmacological pain management, epidural steroid injections, sympathetic nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulation, selective nerve root, facet injections and radiofrequency ablation, trigger point injections, and peripheral joint injections.
